Η Xiaomi prepared a new feature in MIUI 12, which will allow you to adjust the volume levels for different applications such as YouTube, Facebook, Spotify and other.
Φcount on listening to your favorite song on Spotify at full volume and at the same time browse to Facebook, where you find a video with dogs that you just want to watch, and as soon as you click on the video player, your dog barks and your music enjoyment from Spotify stops awkwardly.
On computers running Windows, you have the ability to adjust the volume for specific applications, and to prevent this from happening. But soon you will also have a similar feature on Xiaomi Smartphones running MIUI 12.
So according to information, Xiaomi has prepared a new feature in MIUI 12 that will allow you to adjust the volume levels for different applications such as YouTube, Facebook, Spotify and more.
This new feature will be called "Sound Assistant", it is already available in ROMs released by our community, and will soon be available in Global Stable ROMs through upgrades, on all Smartphones that will be updated to the latest version of MIUI 12.
You will be able to activate the "Sound Assistant" on your Xiaomi Smartphone by simply pressing the volume keys while playing videos or listening to music. But first, you must have enabled this new feature through MIUI settings.
How to use Sound Assistant in MIUI 12
Follow the steps below to enable Sound Assistant on your phone running the latest version of MIUI 12. Once you enable Sound Assistant in the settings, you will be able to adjust the volume in each application on your phone.
- Open them Settings and go to Sound and vibration
- Click on Sound assistant and activate both options
- To turn it on Sound assistant, press the volume up / down key
- A round icon with a note will appear on the left side, touch it and adjust the volume
This is a great feature that Xiaomi has added to MIUI, but as we said above, it is currently only available on MIUI 12 China Beta ROM and the Greek TRV ROM of our community, and will be released on Global Stable ROM later.
For those wondering if another non-Xiaomi device running Android can do the same, the answer is no. Android by itself does not have the ability to adjust sound levels in individual applications. However, you can download third-party applications such as Volume Control Pro App on your Android Smartphone to set different audio levels in different applications.

The long-awaited upgrade to Mi9t pro took place today, but the sound assistant option did not appear where it should ... do you know something?
Sound Assistant is currently only available on China Devloper ROMs and not on Stable ROMs like the one you have on your device.
It will be available in some future upgrades and you will have to wait.
The Greek XTRV ROM released by our community is available because they have as source the ROMs from xiaomi.eu and the Chinese ROMs.
