The coming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which is rumored to feature a kernel Arm Cortex-X4, with a unique 1 + 5 + 2 core configuration, now appeared on GeekBench

At this moment, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC Qualocmm is the most popular choice for high-spec smartphone manufacturers, but falls short in performance compared to its SoCs Apple's A series.

However, Qualcomm aims to fill this void with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which is rumored to feature a kernel Arm Cortex-X4, with a unique core configuration + + 1 5 2 which will be constructed by the process node at 4nm by TSMC.

The Geekbench is a popular benchmarking platform for Smartphones, and the alleged scores of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen3. The score it achieved in the single-core tests on GeekBench is impressive 1,930, while the multi-core test score is even higher at 6,236 points.

These numbers are significantly higher than originally expected, and compared to the current generation of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, we have a huge increase by 30% in the performance of a kernel and 20% on multiple cores.

One of its main advantages Snapdragon 8 Gen3 is the kernel configuration + + 1 5 2. This layout features one high-performance core, five medium cores and two performance cores that allows for better power management, and the new SoC is expected to be 20% more efficient in relation to Snapdragon 8 Gen2. The use of the process node at will also contribute to this 4nm by TSMC.

Despite the promising rumors and leaks, it's important to take this information with a grain of skepticism, as the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 is still in the testing stage, and the company's engineers may be able to push the chip to its limits, and it is very possible that the performance of the final product will not be the same as the scores leaked in GeekBench.
