In October 2023, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon X Elite, which it claims is more powerful than Apple's M2 Max.
On one occasion post on X which was carried out by the user Devin Arthur (@Lexcyn), we see the Snapdragon X Elite to run the multi-awarded and challenging title Baldur's Gate 3.
First, it should be mentioned that the Qualcomm mentioned that the toys that are made for architecture x86, they will not need to rely on the architecture ARM to run to Snapdragon X Elite. This is because the chipset supports games that run natively on ARM64, the hybrid ARM64EC or via architecture emulation at x64.
It is worth noting that, games with native support for ARM64 & ARM64EC will generally offer better performance compared to those found in x86 ή x64.
Η Snapdragon X Elite's Adreno GPU can produce 4.6 TFLOPS and has support for DX12, DX11, Vulkan, OpenGL and DX9 and OpenGL 4.6. According to official reports, this particular chipset offers 80% increase in performance, compared to AMD Radeon 780M iGPU.

As we see in the video above, the Baldur's Gate 3 appears to be running on a laptop which is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite. The analysis is in 1080p and framerate ranges from 30FPS.
Unfortunately, we don't know the graphics settings that allow it to run at 30FPS, and since it's in the early game area, which isn't as demanding as some others, we don't have a full picture of the new chipset's performance. It's quite possible that in more open areas, it won't be able to maintain 30FPS.
Despite this fact, however, the fact that even there it runs at 30FPS is quite impressive and leaves positive impressions for the Gaming experience that will be offered by the upcoming Laptops with Snapdragon X Elite.
Although the Qualcomm mentions that the specific chipset will not have as its main focus the performance in Gaming, it is expected to see further improvements and optimizations through various driver updates that will be made.
