• Then place the device in a zippered bag.
• Fill the bag with bags of silicone gel balls (which are often found in shoe boxes) and close the bag. These bags absorb moisture very effectively and work better than rice.
• You will need to wait at least three days before reopening the bag.
• After 72 hours, open the bag and the mobile phone.

Unfortunately no method can guarantee that your mobile phone will be saved after… drowning. And also, even if it works it is not certain that it will still work as well as before.

This is because drying on the internal components can start a corrosion process that could cause irreparable damage to the internal components of your mobile.

And this is the reason why a mobile phone that at some point fell into the water, can suddenly stop working, months later.

The best thing to do to save your device after all of the above, is to quickly visit a Service Center to clean your device of all debris in the motherboard, so as not to damage the device circuits.
