Η Intel is going to face stiff competition from its upcoming processors AMD with architecture Zen2 (July 7), according to benchmarks that have leaked.
Η AMD in simple words it seems to offer "more" and to demand "less". Given that the current 9th generation Core will remain on the desktop until 2020 when it will be replaced by Ice Lake at some point, Intel seems to be aiming for a price reduction of up to 15% in order to remain competitive at least in the DIY market segment.
Reductions, according to sources, are expected on models such as the Core i9-9900K, i7-9700K and i5-9600K and will range between $ 25- $ 75. AMD specifically targets the three aforementioned processors with the Ryzen 9 3900X, Ryzen 7 3800X and Ryzen 5 3600X respectively, with lower prices, similar gaming performance and much superior content creation performance.
It remains to be seen how these reductions will be passed on to the Greek market and whether they will be able to prevent the commercial success of the new Ryzen 3000.
