Η Intel he revealed 34 security vulnerabilities, which are contained in 32 software sections and two kinds of firmware

The 32 software security flaws affect them greatly drivers for chipsets, Wi-Fi and other components and also include applications such as XTU, the oneAPI Toolkit and Intel Unison. A software vulnerability and a firmware vulnerability also affect it Thunderbolt – Intel recommends that all users update their Thunderbolt drivers and controllers immediately.

Most of the software-related vulnerabilities occur in low-level programs such as Intel's Battery Life Diagnostic Tool and other apps that most users probably don't use or haven't heard of.

However, there are a few high-profile cases: Intel Unison, the oneAPI Toolkit, and the oneAPI Software Installers, as well as the application XTU for CPU overclocking are affected by security issues. Some drivers are also affected, which could be problematic as these types of drivers are not guaranteed to update automatically.

However, connectivity technology Thunderbolt by Intel is perhaps the most significantly affected. Thunderbolt drivers and Thunderbolt controller firmware each have a disclosure, but the driver disclosure is particularly concerning as it details 20 individual exploits that allow attackers to escalate privileges, perform denial-of-service attacks, and steal data. Three of these 20 vulnerabilities are of “high” severity.

Fortunately, most of these 20 Thunderbolt driver and firmware exploits require what is called “local access", which requires either physical or remote access to a vulnerable computer, or someone with physical access. There is a related vulnerability, which means that network attacks can also be successful, but it only has a medium severity rating.

Η Intel has patched all affected software and firmware components except one – the tool System Usage Report for Gameplay. This app was already removed, so it won't get a fix - Intel recommends just uninstalling it.
