Η National Press and Publication Administration The country has passed new rules that allow minors to play online games only on Fridays, weekends and public holidays.

Όnot only are there restrictions on the days they can play, but even then, they can only play for one hour, from 8 p.m. until 9 p.m.., that is, not more than 3 hours in total per week.

The new restrictions apply to Chinese citizens under 18 yearsand have been implemented. Companies must also follow the rules, from which the government requires them to implement real name recognition systems. This will force players to first provide their phone number, a state-issued ID, or even have a face scan.

As a result, toy companies should theoretically know the ages of all their customers. If they do not enforce the age restrictions, the government has warned that regulatory checks will be made.

The 2019, the country has reduced play time for minors to just 1,5 hours on weekdays and three hours on weekends, while their occupation at night, from 10 p.m. until 8 a.m.., was banned.

In interview in the Chinese state press, the National Press and Publications Administration of the country, stated that its rules 2019 are an important foundation in the fight against video lesson games among minors. And he claimed that most parents have called for tougher measures.

«Recently, many parents have reported that some adolescents' addiction to online gambling has seriously affected their education, physical and mental health, while at the same time causing a number of social problems, resulting in many parents suffering.", he continued.

The new rules are definitely a nightmare for children in the country. Yet they have always found ways to circumvent such restrictions.

One way was to buy video games from the gray market in China, where local retailers brought Xbox and PlayStation consoles from abroad. These consoles are designed to follow the game laws of Hong Kong, USA or Japan so owners can play as much as they want.

The news comes as her government South Korea gives in to the constraints that prevent it children under 17 years to play games from midnight to 6 in the morning. The so-called "Shutdown Law»For the protection of youth, was adopted by November of 2011 , but was largely ineffective, in part because it does not apply to mobile games.
