Intel has announced a new line of processors for mobile devices that are intended for heavy use and enough multitasking.
ΤThe chips are placed in the H series and are made based on the Coffee Lake architecture of Intel having high timings and TDP at 45W. The largest model on the list Core i9-9980HK has 8 cores with HyperThreading and boost clock 5GHzHowever, with TDP in mind, multi-core clocks will be significantly shorter for this model, such as the Core i7-9850H, which still has the same TDP, without HyperThreading but boosting frequencies of 4.6GHz.
According to the Intel press release and its choice to announce them to Game Developers Conference It is clear that they are intended for gaming but also for the simultaneous use of other programs in the background, elements that we find in streaming systems.
These chips will be combined with some goodies such as the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 network and the Optane Memory H10. The list includes other models like both Core i5-9400Hand Core i5-9300H all with boost timings above 4GHz and four cores with HyperThreading and we will soon find them in several gaming laptops on the market.
