According to information coming from Sina Tech, its founder Xiaomi, Lei Jun, will reveal the first prototype electric car of the company, at a public event that will take place next year August

After the revelation that will take place on next August, this Xiaomi concept car will begin real road testing, including the first winter tests. The team that undertook the design of the car comes from the HVST Automobile Design, which is responsible for the concept car with the name Maven by WM Motor.
Xiaomi is gearing up to enter the automotive industry, and has already hired its PR manager, while the marketing campaign for the upcoming car will begin after the prototype is released.
At the beginning of last year Xiaomi committed more than 10 billions of dollars for the next ten years, to develop its electric car division. Its production plant Xiaomi Car will be built at yizhuang, while in the same city will also be housed the R&D center. The expected production capacity of the factory will be 300.000 cars per year when it will run at full speed.
In the initial phase they will be built 150.000 vehicles per year with the first models being delivered to the Chinese market in 2024. The R&D team already has more than 1.000 employees and continues to grow. Xiaomi plans to release 4 different models which will be ranked in two categories A+ and B.
Her models A+ category will have a selling price between 150.000 and 200.000 RMB ($ 22.200 to $ 29.600) and will support her L2 autonomous driving, while her cars category B on the other hand, they will cost between 200.000 and 300.000 RMB ($29.600 and $44.400) and will support L3 autonomous driving technology.
