Android 15, although still in early Beta stage, seems to offer quite a few UI improvement features.

On the occasion of an analysis at APK of Android 15, by Mishaal Rahman of Android Authority, we can see a new feature that the new Android version will offer.

More specifically, this feature will allow users to enable the dark theme in all apps, even if they don't natively support it.

For many users, using the dark theme is quite an important feature. It provides a more pleasant content viewing experience, in low light conditions and in some cases, it also helps to save battery.

However, despite how important this function is, many applications do not have a corresponding function, and as a result, viewing content in them is particularly tedious. An example is the application Fitbit of Google, which does not support the dark theme natively.

In the current and previous editions of the Android, the solution to this particular problem was hidden behind the “Developer options” with the forced use of the dark theme. However, this particular option has several limitations as, in numerous cases, the result was not pleasing and several times, the letters were not visible.

The new function which is expected to come with the new version Android 15, appears to be a fairly improved version of the above mentioned option. It seems to offer a more consistent and visually appealing experience across all apps.

The option of the new function will be available on “Accessibility Options” so that it is easier to find and not hidden behind a menu that the user does not initially have activated.

In the following screenshots you can see how this function looks like in the applications Fitbit and Amazon, compared to the already existing hidden option.

Since this feature is still under development, it is possible that its implementation may differ or not exist at all when the version is released. Android 15. Despite this fact, its existence in the developer versions means that, at least the Google tries to provide various ways for users to modify the appearance of applications.
