In its partial disintegration and creating a new company which will take over the management of the infrastructure and further development of new generation / fiber optic networks, proceeds the wind.

Μwith a view to accelerating investment in next generation telecommunications networks (NGA network) and ultra-high speed networks (Very High Capacity Networks - VHCN), h wind sets up a new subsidiary (100% owned by) to which it will contribute the relevant infrastructure at its disposal.

In particular, the wind partially dismantles the design, implementation, maintenance, operation and operation of active fiber-optic network equipment (NGA Network) as well as the relevant passive equipment (fiber optic infrastructure and cables) the backbone, distribution and access networks which it will contribute to the subsidiary under the name Hellenic Openfiber.

The new company will provide exclusively wholesale services (wholesale-only), open access (open-access) to telecommunications providers. As noted by the management of the telecommunications company, following the international trend in telecommunications and the strategy of the European Union, with this corporate transformation act and the establishment of the subsidiary, the smooth, timely and efficient transition from the traditional copper network to the new generation networks is sought. .

Based on the relevant valuation made by Deloitte, the net position of the branch seconded to July 31, 2021 amounted to 69,9 million euros. Wind's move is estimated to be in line with United Group (mother of Nova and, except unexpectedly, of Wind) which is not excluded to proceed in the next period in a similar movement. Creating companies with telecommunications infrastructure has been an international practice in recent years.

It is recalled that Wind has sold its passive mobile infrastructure to Vantage Towers Greece, a subsidiary of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Vantage Towers, which has been established by the group Vodafone.

Η wind has today 3.379 mm of fiber optic infrastructure, included 595k. fiber optic infrastructure in the design phase and 170k. owned by PPC, DEH-1,90% exclusively leased. The new generation connections that it will have implemented at the end of 2021 are 496 thousand and so far it has about 110 thousand active wholesale customers in the NGA service
