Today Netflix announced that the last two series of the network from the Marvel universe are finally canceled.
ΣJessica Jones will have a third season before it stops, but it seems that Marvel's partnership with Netflix is over. The two companies made an agreement in 2013 for 4 series, which would be based on Marvel characters, as well as a combination (The Defenders).
The announcement stated that "The Punisher" will not return for a third season, while "Jessica Jones" will have a third season before stopping.
Netflix in its announcement, thanked Marvel for the last 5 years and this successful collaboration, but also the fans who followed these series from the beginning.
The protagonist of the series "The Punisher", Jon Bernthal, said goodbye to his fans via Instagram earlier today.
Earlier in the year, the cancellation of "Iron Fist", "Luke Cage" and "Daredevil" was announced. Disney, which now has the rights to the Marvel world, will soon launch its own subscription service, Disney Plus (Disney +), so it makes sense to end our partnership with Netflix.
