Η Microsoft had introduced her Artificial Intelligence on their platform Office via, Power point, through Ideas, which offers the user improvements for his presentations.
ΤAt this time, the company will extend the same feature to the popular word processor, Word, giving users new ideas for improving their text as well.
Ideas, which will "work" in the cloud, goes beyond the already existing automatic word correction and grammatical changes, proposing more appropriate words and more readable sentences, depending on the text and the language used, in order for the user to writes with greater accuracy and better style.
The integration of the "smart" tool in the online version of Word was announced yesterday, Monday, May 6, at its developer conference Microsoft, in Seattle, USA. The new tool, which will be piloted in Word Online in June and will be widely available this fall, will help users create tables within their text and suggest synonyms.
Ideas will also inform the user about how long it takes to read their text, while it will be able to extract the key points of the text, something very useful for the reader, especially if it has to do with a multi-page text.
Google recently announced its own Artificial Intelligence tool for the online Google Docs word processing application.
