Mitsotakis: Free 50 GB of data will be received by young people aged 15 to 17 who will be vaccinated

Another incentive for young people aged from 15 to 17 years that will be rushed to be vaccinated by the government.

This offer will be valid for those who come to the vaccination centers until the end of this year.

It should be noted that Mr. Mitsotakis also announced that from 1th January 2022 zero for young people under the age of 29, the special mobile and data fee, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated or not.

As the first initiative of the government, it announced the "first stamp", while announcing an increase in subsidized jobs, a digital youth card, but also a reward… through mobile phones of adolescents who were vaccinated, as well as the abolition of parental tax for a very large amount.

Addressing the young people sitting in the front row for symbolic reasons, the Prime Minister said:

First stamp

As the Prime Minister said, young people up to 29-year-old, without any previous service, when hired full time, will be supported by the state for 6 month with 1.200 euro.

The 600 euros will go to employers to reduce insurance costs and more 600 euro will be given directly to working young people.

"The first initiative on our part is the first stamp. Young people up to 29 years old without previous service will be supported for 6 months by the state with 1.200 euros in the first recruitment. The 600 will go to the employers and the remaining 600 will be directed to the young people in addition to their salary to spend them as they want ".

Also, from 2022, the permanent digital card is introduced, where all the benefits of the state to the youth will be gathered.

Finally, it is removed by 1/1/2022 the tax on parental benefits and donations, up to 800.000 euros.

In detail, the measures for young people announced by Kyriakos Mitsotakis:

  • The tax of parental benefits-donations for first degree relatives, which concerns parental benefits-donations up to 800.000 euros, is abolished, from October 1, 2021. Cost 26 million per year.
  • First note: For 2022 and in order to tackle youth unemployment, in the context of tackling the effects of the coronavirus, all young people aged 18 to 29, who have no previous work experience and will be hired within the year, receive a 6-month prepaid working time they can use for their first job. The aid amounts to 1.200 euros for the first 6 months of full employment. Of this amount, half will be received by the employee (in addition to his salary) as an incentive to find work, and the rest by the employer as a subsidy for wage costs. For part-time work corresponding to at least 50% of the full time, half of the amount will be given. Budget cost € 28 million for 2021 and € 14 million for 2022.
  • The mobile subscriber fee for young people up to 29 years old is abolished, from January 1, 2022.
  • From the academic year 2021-2022, the granting of housing allowance is extended to the students of public IEK (it is estimated that about 5.000 of the 20.000 students of public IEK will live in another city and will meet the income / property criteria, in order to become eligible) . Budget cost for 2022: 5 million euros.
Additional benefits for young people:
  • If he is young up to 29 years old, with a monthly mobile bill of 50 euros, he will have an additional annual benefit of 90 euros.
  • If he works for the first time, he will receive in addition to his salary from the state 600 euros.
  • If you study at a public vocational school in another city, you will receive an additional 1.000 euros per year housing allowance.
  • Now, the parent can make parental property or money to his child, without any tax.
