Η MediaTek introduced a new series of SoCs, the Dimensity 6000, With the Dimension 6100+ to lead the fresh line
The line 6000 intended for lower-end devices considering MediaTek advertises its affordability. The line 9000 by MediaTek intended for flagships, the series 8000 intended for premium devices, the series 7000 intended for mid-range phones and tablets, with the 6000 fitting comfortably below the rest.
Ο Dimension 6100+ it has two performance cores Arm Cortex-A76 with six performance cores Arm Cortex-A55 and integrated modem 5G. MediaTek reports that this configuration will significantly reduce power consumption. In combination with UltraSave 3.0+ technology of the company, energy consumption is reduced by 20% compared to other competing processors. The said modem will support 5G sub-6GHz spectrum, but not the faster mmWave radio waves.
MediaTek says the new chip will also help with imaging. It supports downloading video up to 2K resolution at 30fpss and the chip can support a single camera up to 108MP. The AI technology it will also be present in the image signal processor to help with bokeh effects for portrait images.
When it comes to viewing content, the MediaTek 6100+ can support 10-bit displays which can display more than a billion colors with refresh rates up to 120Hz.

The first phones to have the MediaTek Dimension 6100+ they are due to be released in the third quarter of this year. The company didn't announce specific devices, likely leaving that up to phone makers to reveal.
