MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ : Announced with impressive specs and upgraded CPU and GPU performance

Its flagship chipsets MediaTek are gaining more and more recognition for the impressive hardware they offer, and the Dimensity 9200 SoC recently released by the company is no exception


Now, the Mediatek announced an upgraded version of this chipset, the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, which features improved CPU and GPU performance. With this new SoC, MediaTek continues to position itself as a major player in the competitive world of flagship chipsets.


The new Dimension 9200+ SoC features an impressive octa-core processor configuration, with the Cortex-X3 to serve as a primary core, 3 x Cortex-A715 performance cores and 4 x Cortex A-510 energy saving cores. The clock speed of all cores has been increased to 3.35 GHz, 3 GHz and 2 GHz, Respectively.

This represents a significant jump over the previous Dimensity 9200 chipset, which had clock speeds 3.05 GHz, 2.85 GHz and 1.8 GHz, respectively. The Dimension 9200+ is based on the build node 4 nm of TSMC, which contributes to its more energy efficient performance.

In terms of Gaming performance, the chipset delivers ARM Immortalis G715 GPU with an increase in performance by 15%. In addition, it comes equipped with technology MediaTek HyperEngine 6.0, which promises to deliver a smoother and more stable gaming experience. Technology Game Adaptive Control Technology (MAGT) by MediaTek, ensures that the SoC does not consume too much power, and the company claims that it can reduce overall power consumption by up to 12%.

It is equipped with a sixth generation AI processing unit (690 . APU), with the image signal processors Mediatek's Imagiq 890, MiraVision 890 and 5G UltraSave 3.0.


The chipset comes with a built-in modem 4CC-CA 5G Release-16 which may alternate between connections under sub-6GHz and mmWave networks. There is also support for Wi-Fi 7 22 + 22 with a maximum data transfer of up to 6.5Gbps, as well as on  Bluetooth 5.3.

The chipset is rated 1.36 million points on its benchmarking platform AnTuTu, beating all Android flagships.

It also supports up to two resolution screens at 5K at 60Hz, WHQD at 144Hz and FHD at 240Hz.
