Deloitte: How new technologies will radically change industries and businesses

According to a report, companies will need to redefine the way machines and people interact in their workplace.

ΟNew technologies are expected to lead to significant changes in industries and businesses, henceforth. Among the technologies that are expected to bring about significant changes are cloud technologies, artificial intelligence and "smart" interfaces. The above conclusion emerges from Deloitte's 10th annual report entitled "Tech Trends 2019: Beyond the digital frontier".

According to Deloitte, companies need to redefine the way machines and people interact in their workplace. More specifically, companies that will be able to effectively apply artificial intelligence to machine learning, robot automation, etc., not only in their business processes but also in their products and services, will have greater chances of survival and evolution.

The people interact with technology through increasingly intelligent interfaces, which combine anthropocentric design techniques with highly advanced technologies, resulting in a shift from keyboards to touch screens, voice commands and even further transforming the way they interact with machines and data.

It has now been formed a computing environment in which everything is done highly automated and with the widespread use of cloud. Therefore, IT people can now focus seamlessly on activities that directly support business results, according to Deloitte.

Technologies such as 5G, networking and edge computing, which allow continuous networking everywhere and everywhere, are the invisible hero of the digital future. With their widespread adoption, companies can achieve the desired digital transformation, as well as develop new products and services, replacing older inefficient models.

In the modern world of marketing where the trend of personalization, content creation and dynamic development prevails, advertising companies work more closely with their General Managers of Informatics (CIO). By strengthening this relationship, the wider use of new renewed marketing tools is attempted with the aim of personalized promotion based on the creation of a personal experience for the customer.

Due to the development of cyberspace, companies are giving a special basis to issues of security, privacy, policies and control in the culture and their security and development processes that concern the part of technology. Now the responsibility of security is shared by everyone.

In the final chapter of the report, Deloitte analyzes how modern business can lead the race to digital transformation and at the same time create ways to integrate the right technologies, talent and administrative support to cope with the changes they are expected to experience. in this new environment.

Ο Nikos Christodoulou, Consulting Leader of Deloitte Greece, stated "The pace of change that the digital age brings to our lives is much faster than we thought until today. Greek companies and organizations have a very narrow time to understand in depth what these changes mean for their survival and development and what steps they need to take towards digital transformation. The attached Deloitte report aspires to cover some of the aspects of this 'journey'.
