Η AMD keeps her papers closed for the time being regarding them Threadripper but a new entry in Geekbench a wave of discussions begins.
Η entry was found in its database Geekbench and refers to the sample by code name AMD Sharkstooth, which has 32 cores and 64 threads in total while the frequency was at 3.6GHz.
Rumors speak of a consumer product and not an EPYC model while the platform is codenamed WhiteHavenOC-CP. At the same time the system had 128GB of memory installed and a Linux distribution in which the well-known Geekbench metro program touched 94.722 points, a breath behind the 99.000 Intel W-3175X - and 28 cores.
This result puts the processor around 18% higher in performance from the Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX equipped with the same number of cores. This confirms recent rumors of another new AMD chipset however we do not know if compatibility with the first X399 chipset of 2017 will be maintained. What also resonates in recent weeks is that AMD is aiming to announce the platform sometime next October .
