AMD for the first time releases, in public beta, their Adrenaline drivers with his support graphics hardware scheduling, one feature introduced with the Windows 10 update in May (version 2004).
ΠThis is a curious release, as the driver version number is exactly the same as the previous version, but with built-in graphics hardware scheduling support.
Therefore the driver is named "Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.5.1 Beta with Graphics Hardware Scheduling".
This feature, which Microsoft provided for Windows, allows the GPU to do better resource management enabling potentially better performance in specific applications.
Currently, Only RDNA based cards (Radeon 5600 and 5700 series) take advantage of this feature. The 5500 series will not take advantage of this feature, at least in this generation of drivers.
