After decades of dominance in the CPU sector, the Intel he announced at CES 2020 the first separate GPU in its history, codenamed Intel DG1.
Τthe bad thing about Intel, though, is that it just had to make a report and show a demo with Destiny 2 to run on her card.
Η Intel DG1 GPU is based on the Xe architecture it uses and the built-in GPUs of the upcoming Intel Tiger Lake (10nm) processors.
It promises twice the performance of graphics and Artificial Intelligence compared to previous generations, but we have no indication of the true capabilities of the separate graphics card, as in the case of Tiger Lake there will be some optimization in CPU / GPU communication.
It is not known when it will be released on the market, although tests are already being done by developers. We imagine that Intel will be back soon with more information, because it is a new and very important start.
