5GBioShield: A $ 6 USB Flash that claims to block 5G sells for $ 350

No, 5G does not transmit coronavirus. But that does not stop scammers from trying to exploit some people's false fears about the technology.

ΤThe issue that has arisen: A British supplier sells a USB stick that promises to provide protection against 5G radiation, to 350$. However, researchers have proven that this product is a simple USB stick of value 6$.

Its manufacturers "5GB BioShieldThey claim that their USB stick can block electric waves through a "proprietary holographic nano-layer" technology. It is supposed to do this by "balancing" all the existing radiation creating a protective bubble around the user with a diameter of 8 meters, even when the USB stick is disconnected.

Trying to convince consumers that 5GB BioShield really works, the product website mentions controversial terms like “quantum oscillation", the "active dynamic frequencies", and the "cardiac cohesion".

PenTest Partners bought one 5GB BioShield and found it to be a simple cheap USB stick. The fact that it has a crystal handle clearly does not go unnoticed. However, the company has discovered that anyone can buy huge quantities of such USB sticksthrough Internet.

PenTest Partners teardown revealed that there is no holographic nano-layer. "Initially, we removed the stick from the crystal, which revealed nothing more than an LED on the edge of the device, exactly the same as all the corresponding USBs made in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. "There were no accessories or connections," wrote Phil Eveleigh, the company's auditor. in his report.

In fact, the company wanted to check if the holographic nano-layer is under a circular icon that has the USB stick. However, Eveleigh said the icon was nothing more than a simple sticker.

Even more impressive is the fact that the $ 350 USB stick has a capacity of only 128MB. Also, the only data it contains is a 25-page PDF, which is already available on its website 5GB BioShield.

Eveleigh added: "In our opinion, the 5G BioShield is nothing more than a £ 5 USB stick with a sticker. Whether or not this sticker provides £ 300 worth of quantum technology, we'll let you decide for yourself".

Its manufacturers 5GB BioShield have not responded to requests for comments sent to them. However, according to the BBC, local regulators in the UK are trying to get a court order to download the product's website.
