The next 4 Xiaomi flagships will feature data transfer USB 3.2, as well as support for the standard charging protocol USB PD (Power Delivery)

Xiaomi flagships are known as the best Value For Money that they offer, however, sometimes the cheaper price means that some "discount" has been forced on the specifications to reduce the cost of the devices, and a drawback that all Xiaomi flagships have, is the company's reluctance to upgrade its devices in USB 3.2.

Even in the company's latest flagships like the Xiaomi 13 Pro and the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, continue to have the 23-year-old data transfer standard USB 2.0 and not the one USB 3.2.

But after a lot of negative criticism recently received by Xiaomi from both its own fans and critics, it seems that the company is changing its stance and the next 4 flagship products to be released will finally include the USB 3.2 standard in their specifications .

This rumor comes from the famous and trusted Chinese leakster, Digital Chat Station, who in last suspension made on Chinese social media, claims that Xiaomi's next 4 flagships will feature data transfer USB 3.2, as well as support for the standard charging protocol USB PD (Power Delivery).

So the next 4 flagships from Xiaomi which are expected to be respectively the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi Pad 6, Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro and Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 they will have data transfer through it USB 3.2.

Xiaomi's move to include USB 3.2 in its flagships finally puts the company on par with other manufacturers such as Samsung who included USB 3.2 in their flagships from 2020 with the series Samsung Galaxy S20, but also her Vivo which included the USB 3.2 in its flagships from 2022 with the Vivo X80 Pro.

However, it was not mentioned in the post which generation of data transfer to USB 3.2 (Gen 1, Gen 2 or Gen 2 2×2) it will be supported on upcoming Xiaomi flagships.

Regarding the inclusion of support in the Power Delivery (USB PD), is said to further improve compatibility when using different charging devices, as long as the chargers and cables are also certified by USB PD. This in turn translates into faster charging even when Xiaomi's original charger doesn't support this standard.
