Xiaomi-logo

Xiaomi has just announced its latest flagships – the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, which are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC based on the manufacturing process 4nm by TSMC

Perhaps most importantly, the two devices offer a substantial upgrade in the camera department and flaunt a new design. They are currently only available in China, but we expect them to be available worldwide soon enough.

Xiaomi 13 Pro

Its screen Xiaomi 13 Pro remains unchanged. The Xiaomi 12 Pro had a 6,73-inch display and we have the same display on the 13 Pro with almost identical specifications, including variable refresh rate on 120 Hz, LTPO AMOLED panel with analysis in 1440 x 3200 px, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG and 1920 Hz DC dimming the lighting. The monitor also has an ambient color temperature sensor that allows it to automatically adjust the color temperature.

The only upgrade the new screen gets has to do with maximum brightness, as the new 13 Pro's display can light up the entire surface in 1.200 nits, while the maximum brightness boost when playing HDR videos for example, can reach up to 1.900 nits.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC is combined with LPDDR5X memory and UFS storage 4.0 next generation.

In terms of cameras, the Xiaomi 13 Pro once again sports a triple camera setup at 50MP on the back, but with notable upgrades. The famous sensor Sony's 989-inch IMX1 with a size of 1,6 μm from the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, is now paired with its lens Leica with diaphragm f/1.9 and Hyper OIS.

The telephoto camera also gets an upgrade. It's still at 50MP, but with extras 3x optical zoom and she has her lenses Leica with Floating Lens, but with a slightly smaller aperture at f / 2.0. The interesting thing about the new lens upgrade is that it now has a minimum focus distance of just 10 cm.

The third ultrawide lens still has the good old sensor at 50MP, with f/2,2 at 14mm with macro support, which means it supports autofocus.

The device is powered by a battery that reaches 4.820 mAh and combined with the chip Surge G1 of Xiaomi, which allows safe wired charging at 120 W and wireless charging at 50 W. There is also support for reverse wireless charging at 10 W.

Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and with the new head tracking function (head tracking) from Dolby, has IR blaster and of course, certified dust and water protection IP68 rating, which is a new addition to Xiaomi's flagship lineup.

The device is available in four color options White, Black, Green with ceramic back and some kind light blue color, which has a leatherette back and is not ceramic material. The Camera Module is now square with oval corners.
