Η Valve he analyzed the top selling toys, the most popular new releases, the most played titles, the VR games with the highest-selling and top-notch game-friendly titles via Steam for this year.
ΟThe lists of the most played titles are ranked according to the maximum number of simultaneous players. Games also receive ratings Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
For new releases, o May, September and November were the best months, with 13 by 25 new best-selling games on the market then. Also from each month of the year, at least one game managed to get on the list of Top 25, which was determined on the basis of the gross income earned by the title during its first two weeks in Steam.
Platinum new releases included: Outriders, Naraka Bladepoint, New World, Farming Simulator 22, Age of Empires IV, Forza Horizon 5, Resident Evil Village, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Back 4 Blood, Valheim, Halo Infinite and Battle field 2042.
In the best-seller list, only a few new releases were able to compete with older games, which of course had more time to monetize. These were the Battlefield 2042, New World, Naraka Bladepoint and valheim.
Older titles like Grand Theft Auto V and PUBG:Battlegrounds continue to show their strength. A number of others free-to-play games, also demonstrated the effectiveness of the microtransaction model, as Apex Legends, DOTA 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Destiny 2 were made Platinum for their revenue, even though the games were free.
Many of the games with the highest sales of the year also had some of the highest player percentages.
