Η Valve accidentally sold more Steam Controllers from what was available.
ΤSteam's latest Autumn Sale included several offers, but one of them made a special impression.
The Steam Controller was available with a 90% discount on the original purchase price and therefore thousands of gamers ran to get it at the $ 5 privilege. But there is a problem. While Valve has stopped production of the Steam Controller, it mistakenly sold more units than it had in stock.
As he says VG24 / 7, several Steam users are complaining, as their orders were canceled and their money was taken back. At first they did not receive any explanation from Valve, but in the process they were informed of the full extent of the problem.
So Valve reports that during the recent Autumn Sale it received more orders for the Steam Controller than it could execute. So those orders that were impossible to execute were refunded. The company apparently apologized to users for the confusion caused.
While the situation is nothing short of embarrassing for those who saw their order canceled, Valve made refunds fairly quickly, returning money from unfulfilled orders. Obviously there are dozens of remarkable controls that you can use on your PC, however none of them cost less than 5 euros.
Without any stock, the Steam Controller is now officially dead, as Valve turns its attention to VR in the upcoming Half-Life: Alyx.
