Hundreds of her car drivers Tesla were locked out of their cars due to a problem in the operation of the automotive application.

Ο "Server" of the Tesla application shut down for a few hours, leading to a global outage, leaving homeowners using the phone instead of the key card locked out of their cars.

The problem started on Friday night and initially seemed to affect only users in North America, however soon reports came from all over the world. Elon Musk responded personally to the tweet of a driver from South Korea saying how the issue is being investigated.

The outage was first reported by specialized electric vehicle website Electrek, which began receiving reports from Tesla owners in the US and Canada, then from Europe and Asia.

About 500 users reported experiencing an error, according to the holiday monitoring website "We are sorry"We will take steps to ensure that this does not happen again," he wrote Mask on Twitter.

According to Electek, its systems Tesla rarely have downtime, although the site reported that, in September 2020, the company had experienced complete shutdown both client-facing servers and the internal system for several hours.
