Project Stream: This is officially Google's game streaming service! Test with Assassin's Creed Odyssey [Video]

Therumors that wanted her Google to enter the gaming area were confirmed today though not in the way we expected. The company did not announce any game consoles, but instead decided to invest in what more or less all the big players in the gaming industry are chasing: a game streaming service with first-line titles that you can play directly from a web browser!

Google reveals Project Stream, its own game streaming service that will debut on October 5 on a limited scale and promises high quality with very low latency even for the most demanding games. Specifically, the goal is to "transmit" the game from its servers in Full HD 1080p quality at 60fps and as an example presents a real game from Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

In her official blog she describes the difficulties of the project and emphasizes that she has found a way to overcome them, but does not mention anything about the cost for the gamer. It is currently looking for gamers in the US aged 17 and over for the first test of Project Stream, who must have a computer with a reliable Internet connection (Google will check it), have a mouse, controller or keyboard and have or want to create a Google or Ubisoft account.
