[Guide] Why not get app notifications (Miui 10 & XTRV)

ΣLet's also wait for some notification or message at viber-messenger-Instagram any application and while the notification-message has been sent to you only after you open the application manually; Let's see why this can happen…

Licenses-Rights

Each application asks us for some permissions-rights to work properly let's take for example viber wants permission-right to read our contacts to show them to us in the application later, wants permission to be able to send us a notification, wants permission to be able to open the mobile-activate the screen when someone calls us etc
In case some of these rights are not given to viber and in every similar application do not expect it to work properly…
So go to settings and lower licenses, or settings and type in the search licenses (applications) then select other licenses to select the application we want eg viber and it will be something like this:

Application notifications

Now we have to choose which application we want to be able to send us notifications and what kind of notifications specifically we want when someone sends us a message to be notified only with sound? we want the led notification to flash we want these notifications to appear on the lock screen as well;

Let's go Settings> Notifications & status bar> Application notifications or from the settings in the search bar type App Alerts then select eg viber and it will be something like this:

As you can see you must have activated the viber alerts display or you have enabled the vibration alerts on the lock screen etc
You can even more specifically select viber calls or messages:

and select various settings for the messages eg the sound the vibration specifically only for the messages, that is you can put not vibrate in anything other than viber only when they send you a message or turn off the led lighting in the messages… generally you can in great detail select-remove any notification that each application can send you!

Some battery saving applications go idle when the mobile screen goes off and remains off for an hour.
You can avoid it by going Settings> Batteries & Performance> Application Selection or write in the searches line in the settings selection of applications and select eg viber and set it has no restrictions:

Automatic start

Some applications in order to be activated whenever they need on their own or in order to be able to work their various functions you have to activate them in the automatic start by going to Settings> Permissions> Automatic start and select for example viber:

Permanently active applications

In extreme cases some applications eg mi fit or applications battery analysis etc may ask you to stay permanently open in the background.
Press the 3 key keys of the mobile (options-home screen-back) button for the options-settings to show you the background applications.
If using gestures, swipe down and hold-hold your finger in the middle of the screen until the apps are running in the background or the apps you opened-used before and then hold down the app you want to keep open to you get one padlock select it, so the application will never close in the background:

Notifications when the screen is off

If you want the screen to be activated when you receive a message-notification, you must have this option activated by Settings> Lock screen & Security>When notifications come and the screen is off:

As well as you can choose what-if You want the notifications to appear on the lock screen with their contents or not, going to Settings> Lock screen & Security> Advanced settings>On the lock screen:

Display a notification panel on the lock screen

A useful setting to display the panel with all the app notifications when you have the screen locked. You can activate it by going to Settings> Notifications & status bar>Appearance on the lock screen:

  • Keep in mind that miui in many cases knows that it must send you a notification for such applications regardless of whether you have violated or not the rights etc for this and in the developer settings there is a setting that says "miui optimization" and is by default on .
  • Do not forget that the more applications you have in autostart-automatic start and in general the more applications have the right to do what they want whenever they want to open and close your screen every now and then you will have the same effect on the battery (battery drain)
  • These settings are based on the XTRV-China based rom, almost the same is also in the global rom.
