Warning : Delete these 35 malicious apps from your device immediately

Its security experts bitdefender, recently spotted 35 apps with malware, which bombard our devices with ads, which you should delete immediately

Αthese apps may look innocent, but once installed on your devices, they almost immediately change their name and icon, and infect your device with malware that bombards you with ads even in system apps.

Like many other malicious apps, because they change their name and icons to something like the app Settings of a device, therefore, even if you know the name of the app, finding and deleting it will be difficult, especially if you have many apps installed on your phone.

The Bitdefender also notes that the original versions of these 35 malicious apps they did not contain any settings icon and were added in subsequent updates of the apps made by the Play Store, and suddenly there were many settings icons from the Motorola, Oppo, Samsung, Xiaomi and other device manufacturers to match a user's phone model.

However, another technique used by the developers of these malicious apps is to ensure that they do not appear in lists of recently used apps on Android. This is done using the flag android:excludeFromRecents=”true” in their manifesto.

The Bitdefender sent to Google the results of the research he did, discovering at the same time the list of 35 dangerous apps which you see below. These apps have already been removed from the Google Play Store, but that doesn't mean you're protected as you might already have some of them installed on your devices.

So do a check on your installed apps, and if you find any of the ones listed above, delete them immediately to get rid of ads and the risk of malware running in the background.
