According to this, users will be able to set a primary location and all users located in it (e.g. home, office) will be able to use the service normally from different profiles.
Those located away from the main site will need to sign up for the 'extra member' program for a small fee per user to be paid by the account owner. The most important thing, however, is how if they continue to log into their account without participating in the aforementioned program, then the entire account is at risk of being blocked by the company.
Furthermore, the Netflix will require the user(s) on the main site to watch something at least once a month or the account may be banned again. In the event that they are traveling for an extended period of time, they will be able to request a temporary password to access their account away from the main location, but only for 7 days.
Clearly, there will be many reactions if these measures apply, especially in the major markets, and it remains to be seen whether the Netflix will it stay true to its promises or will it look for other ways to increase its profitability…
