Μjust two months after its presentation Helio P70The MediaTek proceeded to the unveiling of the new Helio P90 SoC, with which it aspires to bring Artificial Intelligence with claims in the mid-range category. The new SoC supports Arcore and Google Lens, while including the company's second generation APU for more powerful Artificial Intelligence.
Its construction MediaTek Helio P90 Made with TSMC 12nm FinFET architecture and includes octa-core CPU (2x Cortex-A75 2.2GHz + 6x Cortex-A55 2GHz), IMG PowerVR GM9667 970MHz graphics processor, supports cameras up to 24MP + 16MP (dual) single), screen resolution up to 48 x 2520 in 1080: 21 aspect ratio, WiFi 9ac and Bluetooth 802.11.
As stated by its general manager MediaTek, TL Lee, the most important upgrade in the camera is the support of 480fps slow-motion video, the triple image processor for RAW format and better use of AI in low light conditions. Regarding the graphics processor, the company states that the performance will be 15% improved compared to ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU of Helio P60 / P70.
The MediaTek Helio P90 also supports hardware acceleration for augmented and mixed reality, while developers will be able to launch applications using popular frameworks such as TensorFlow, TF Lite, Caffe and Caffe2, on NeuroPilot SDK, thanks to MediaTek's partnership with Google.
