Η MediaTek today announced it Dimensity 1200 and Dimensity 1100, the company's new top SoCs with a built-in 5G modem.

Dimensity 1200

The Dimensity 1200 supports extremely fast screen refresh rates that reach 168HzWhile Dimensity 1100 supports refresh rates up to 144Hz. Both SoCs support new Gaming technologies MediaTek HyperEngine 3.0, which include the simultaneous call to 5G and continuous data flow for more reliable connectivity, as well as low touch latency (multi-touch boost).
The new chipsets also support ray tracing in virtual reality games and applications for more realistic graphics, along with energy savings through technology super hotspot power, which offers better autonomy with a single charge.
Mediatek's new SoCs also support Bluetooth 5.2, TWS stereo audio with extremely low latency and coding LC3, which offers higher sound quality with lower latency.
The Dimensity 1200 has also received certification from TUV Rheinland for its performance in 5G, with tests covering 72 real-use scenarios.
The first devices with new chipsets MediaTek Dimensity 1200 and 1100 are expected to be released at the end of the first or at the beginning of the second half of 2021, and already the Xiaomi, the Vivo, OPPO and Realme collaborated with MediaTek to release some new Smartphones that will incorporate the new SoCs soon.
