Despite the launch of the Galaxy A55 which features the new Exynos 1480, Samsung had not revealed anything about its specifications.
This has changed with the recent manifestation of the new Exynos 1480, fully revealing all its specifications to us.
More specifically, the new SoC has been built with the production process at 4nm and will dispose of for Xclipse 530 GPU which is based on architecture RDNA by AMD. It is one of the first mid-range platforms with such advanced technology.
Samsung states that Exynos 1480 offers 53% increase in GPU performance compared to last year Exynos 1380. It also has support for Variable Rate Shading (VRS) and Super Resolution which is an advanced upscaling technique.
The architecture of the SoC also differs compared to the Exynos 1380. As for the cores with which the SoC is equipped, there are 2 Cortex A-78 at 2.75GHz and others 6 Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz.
