Huawei and Honor admit to cooking benchmarks because everyone does…

ΘHave you noticed that we rarely refer to benchmarks (eg AnTuTu, Geekbench, GFXbench, etc.) when we hold devices in our hands, because they simply do not always tell the truth and there are many (if not all) companies that cook the results for the sake of impressing. At least some people admit it, but you will not like the explanation they give…

As the website states AnandTechThe Huawei and its subsidiary Honor admit that they really mind the results of the benchmarks and justify their actions with a phrase that we hear very often in… .Greece (for all other reasons):Since everyone does it, why not us?"

In the screenshot you see above, the benchmark was executed with the overheating detection function disabled in Honor Play (essentially prevents the processor temperature from rising so that the device does not burn in the user's hands) to note the high score, while in then run in normal conditions and the score is significantly lower.

The answer from Huawei was given after pressure on Dr. Wang Chenglu, president of the Software department, stressed that benchmarks are cooked and do not reflect performance in real conditions, although they are constantly reported by most reviewers. But they continue to do so because all manufacturers "inflate" the results in a similar way.
