ΤThe Redmi 6, 6A and 6 Pro are all well-known phones that were released in June, but are only now reaching the Indian coast.
Starting with the basic version, the Redmi 6 offers a significant upgrade over its predecessor by adopting a faster chipset - Helio P22 and more storage - 3GB / 32GB or 3GB / 64GB while the screen is reduced slightly from last year to 5,45 inches HD + . Now instead of one, the Redmi 6 gets two cameras on the back to offer the effect of blurry shots in the background of the portrait. The device therefore has 2 sensors 12MP + 5MP on the back.
The phone comes with a 3.000 mAh battery which will last a whole day based on what the company says and will come with Android 8.1 Oreo in combination with MIUI 9.6.
The Redmi 6 Pro has a 5,84-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels, a high aspect ratio of 19: 9 and a notch that can be hidden by turning a software switch in the menu. Since it has the "Pro" in its name, it has a much more powerful chipset - Snapdragon 625.
Also comes in 3GB / 32GB and 4GB / 64GB memory versions. The combination of cameras remains the same as the one in the Redmi 6, ie it has 12MP + 5MP on the back and a 5MP sensor on the front. All of this is powered by a large 4.000 mAh battery and according to Xiaomi, the device can last for two days with a single charge. The operating system is again Android 8.1 Oreo + MIUI 9.6.
Finally, the Redmi 6A offers a similar user experience without missing the functions of the camera with enhanced AI, in less impressive features, but at the same time at a significantly lower price. It packs a Helio A22 chipset, comes in 2GB / 16GB or 2GB / 32GB memory combinations, and sports a 5,45-inch screen with the same HD + resolution.
At the back it has only a 13MP camera while at the front it has a 5MP sensor for selfies and video chats. The battery capacity and configuration of the device support system is the same as the RedMi 6, ie it has a 3.000 mAh battery and Android 8.1 Oreo + MIUI 9.6. However, the 6A does not have a fingerprint reader like the other two Redmi, so you should only rely on face unlock.
Xiaomi promises quick update to the latest MIUI 10 for the 3 new devices.
In terms of pricing and availability, all three phones are charged aggressively like almost all company phones. The Redmi 6A is expected to arrive on September 12 with a starting price of 5.999 ($ 83) for the 16GB model and 6.999 ($ 97) for the 32GB version.
The base Redmi 6 will arrive on September 10 for $ 7,999 ($ 111) for the 32GB model and $ 9,499 ($ 132) for the 64GB configuration.
Finally, sales of the Redmi 6 Pro start on September 11 at a price of INR 10,999 ($ 152) for the 3GB / 32GB model and $ 12,999 ($ 181) for the 4GB / 64GB version. All devices will reach the official Indian offline and online stores of Xiaomi in various offers.
