ΕAuthorizations, responsible statements and prescriptions can be made from our mobile phone or computer, as the single digital portal of the State implemented by the Ministry of Digital Government, gov.gr, "premieres" on Saturday, in the shadow of its "nightmare" spread of the coronavirus.
Although pilot, its operation was deemed absolutely necessary with the main goal of the citizens at this time to be served from home by avoiding any movement. Specifically, it includes a series of procedures that until now required an in-person presence at a KEP or police station.
From now on, they will be handled on a pilot basis from our personal computer or from our mobile phone without movement and unnecessary bureaucracy. As the Minister of Digital Government, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, characteristically states, digitization is a one-way street and points out that "from a great standpoint, it is a great necessity".
The gov.gr brings together all the services (more than 500) provided digitally by the State and any service that will be digitized in the future will be integrated into the platform. In addition, the citizen from today has the opportunity to fill in and sign electronically authorizations and responsible statements, but the service of intangible prescribing is added. It is also possible to immediately send authorizations and responsible statements electronically to the Authority, which requests their issuance, without the citizen having to go to them.
The procedures for citizens' access to gov.gr as well as the issuance of certificates are regulated by provisions included in the Legislative Content Act. The identification will be carried out through the Taxisnet codes and the documents that will be issued through gov.gr will have a unique verification identification number and electronic stamp, and will be obligatorily accepted by all the bodies of the public and the wider public sector.
