Η Google officially announced the news today Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, the company's latest smartphones
The Pixel 7 has a smaller 6,32-inch FHD+ flat AMOLED display with a renewal rate of 90 Hz and smaller battery, while the Pixel 7Pro has 6,7-inch Quad HD+ curved AMOLED display with variable refresh rate (from 10 120-Hz), and the screens of both devices are 25% brighter than their predecessor.
Both smartphones are powered by the Google Tensor G2 SoC with support for 5G networks (SA/NSA) and are also equipped with the Titan M2 Chip which specializes in device security. Google's new Smartphones "run" it Android 13 and will receive security updates for next 5 years , while Android OS updates will be supported for 3 years.
The phones feature a polished aluminum frame and protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Foods on the screen and on the back, and they have IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.
Both devices are equipped with a main camera at 50MP and one UltraWide camera at 12MP, but at Pixel 7Pro the UltraWide camera is autofocus and Macro capabilities, while also having an extra one telephoto lens at 48 MP with support for 5x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom, which is an upgrade over the 4x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom that last year's Pixel 6 Pro had.
Both devices come with special features support Photo unblur, Cinematic Blur for portrait videos in the camera app, while the front one Selfie camera is equipped with a sensor in 10,8MP with support at Face Unlock and video recording in 10-bit HDR which also works with apps Snap, TikTok and YouTube.
The Pixel 7 powered by one battery at 4355mAh and 5000mAh on the Pixel 7 Pro, but both devices come with fast wired and wireless charging at 30w. Google states that the devices' batteries are capable of providing autonomy that reaches up to 72 hours in extreme saving mode (extreme battery saver mode).
