In a blog post, Google CEO, Sadar Pinchai, explains the change as follows:
Since Bard launched last year, people all over the world have used it to work with AI in a whole new way – to prepare for job interviews, spot bugs, brainstorm new business ideas, or even to create compelling images, as the company points out.
Users can already chat with the Gemini with the Pro 1.0 model to more than 40 languages and in more than 230 countries and regions. And two new experiences are coming — the Gemini Advanced and a mobile app.
According to Google in third-party reviews (to which the identity of the chatbot was not known) the Gemini Advanced with Ultra 1.0 came out the preferred chatbot compared to its top competitors.
Its main abilities are the following:
