In a few days, specifically on July 30, the final version will be released Chrome 76 fixing some security vulnerabilities.
Η Google made sure to emphasize through its official blog that it will fix the "hole" that allows websites to monitor the activity of users normally, when they use the famous Incognito (or porn…) mode.
Specifically, the company reports that some websites are taking advantage of a gap in FileSystem API of Chrome browser, which when not turned off allows them to continue monitoring regardless of whether the user is in Incognito mode.
With the advent of Chrome 76, the behavior of the FileSystem API will change and users will finally be able to keep their heads calm when using the Incognito Mode. Of course, there are some reactions, mainly from news agencies, that allow each user to read a limited number of articles for free before "locking" him out of the rest of their newsletter in case he does not pay a subscription.
We look forward to hearing more about this when Chrome 76 launches.
