A significant security loophole was detected in CISA surveillance cameras

Millions security cameras in the world is estimated to be exposed to a major security gap.


ΑThis is revealed in her recent warning Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in the USA.

The bug revealed has been coded as CVE-2021-32934 and reveals that a key feature used by the makers of cameras and other components that make up the universe Internet of Things subject to malicious attacks that could result in surveillance by cameras, without the knowledge of their rightful owner.



The problem is found in one of its software components ThoughtTek which appears to have been used to program operations on surveillance cameras based on philosophy Peer to Peer. Problem is estimated to be encountered by all the cameras running software under 3.1.10 version on Software Development Kit, which will need to be upgraded to the latest version to fill the security gap.

This incident has raised questions about how secure an interface can be for different devices, as a security vulnerability can affect an entire infrastructure in a workplace or home.
