Do you have some Xiaomi or Redmi Smartphone that won't charge when you plug it into the charger? Don't freak out, follow the tips below to figure out what's going on and how you can recharge the battery on your device

If your charger (the original power adapter and USB data cable) is connected and your phone heats up but does not work, we recommend that you disconnect the charger, then go with the device, charger and data cable to an authorized service center for inspection.

Generally, your phone may experience various charging issues in any of the following scenarios:

1. Extreme or abnormal environment

If your phone is in an extreme environment where the ambient temperature is too low or too high, you may not be able to charge it or even turn it on normally. In this case, simply move your device to an environment that has a normal temperature and use the original charger and data cable to charge.

If your phone turns off automatically due to a very low battery, you may not be able to turn it back on, and you'll only see the LED light solid or blinking when you plug it into a charger. In such a case, you should try to activate the device no less than 15 minutes charging.

In general you should know that the standard battery of a Xiaomi or Redmi device is a lithium-ion battery, and the best operating environment for the internal temperature of the battery is between 0°C ~ 45°C and we should not exceed these limits for long.

2. The power adapter is problematic or the cable is not making good contact

If your phone does not turn on or does not charge normally after connecting it to the charger, you should check whether the connection between the charger and the wall socket or the data cable or the data cable and the phone is making good contact.

Avoid using chargers from other devices, as some chargers may have compatibility issues. We recommend that you use the original charger and data cable that came in the box when you purchased your device.

3. Hardware software problem

Some specific versions of the system (MIUI) may cause problems for the phone to charge normally. If you encounter this problem after upgrading to MIUI, or your device keeps flashing after upgrading to a certain version, you can try to factory reset your device, or enter Recovery and erase all data.

4. Hardware Failure

In the daily use of the device, various factors can create problems, such as repeatedly connecting and disconnecting the charging cable, dust, liquids that will fall on your device, being hit by a fall, as well as the effects of extreme temperatures environment may cause charging problems.

If you cannot charge your phone normally, you should take the device, charger and data cable to an authorized service center for checking.

What you should know
  1. Some device models may not have the recovery function (Recovery) and restoring the factory settings in this case will not be possible. In this case only an authorized Xiaomi service will be able to help you.
  2. Back up your data before doing a factory reset – if you can turn on your phone. If you cannot activate your device, your data may be lost forever.

Good morning,
ho uno Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g, sul quale ho già cambiato 1 volta la batterye, il telefono è del 2020 e la battery è stata sostituita nel 2023, adesso il telefono si è switched off quanto la battery è arrivata allo 0%, ma quando I'm going to charge it sembra che non arrivi current alla battery, I tried to replace the cable and the battery charger and let it charge for tutta la notte but still no carica

Try to connect the phone to a USB port on the PC for slow charging.

It is possible that the device has entered deep sleep mode and needs a slow charge to wake up.
