The message states that taxpayers are entitled to a tax refund, with the scammers "hoping" that offering money will make taxpayers overlook the scam.
«The Tax Office has calculated your tax return and you are entitled to a tax refund” is the false claim of scammers, who in this way attempt to extract the secret codes of their victims.
As stressed by AADE, "this is an attempt to deceive through image and data falsification", noting that taxpayers who will receive such a message should not open any attached file or click on any proposed link.
«Please delete the message immediately as it is fake and contains malicious content» adds AADE.
The email that AADE sends to taxpayers states the following:
«Dear Madam/Dear Sir,
We request your immediate attention to an email sent stating that “the Tax Office has calculated your tax return and you are entitled to a tax refund".
This is an attempt to deceive through image and data falsification.
For your protection:
1. DO NOT open any attachments in the message
2. DO NOT select any suggested link
3. Delete the message IMMEDIATELY as it is fake and contains malicious content.
