RedMi: New RedmiBook 13/14 and 16 officially launched with AMD Ryzen 4000 CPU

Η Xiaomi through the subsidiary redmi, released today its three new models RedmiBook 13/14 and 16 for the Chinese market.

Τa news RedmiBook 13, RedmiBook 14 and RedmiBook 16 are now powered by new processors AMD of the series Ryzen 4000 and are available in multiple configurations, with RAM reaching up to 16 GB and storage space to reach 1 TB.

As their names suggest, screen models are available 13 inches, 14 inches and 16 inches, with thin hoops. RedMi's three new and lightweight Notebooks will be officially released from June 1, and are available today for pre-order.

The prices

The RedmiBook 13 is available in three configurations. 

• The version with AMD Ryzen 5 4500U CPU / 8GB RAM / 512GB SSD - yuan 3.799 (~ 486 €)
• The version with AMD Ryzen 5 4500U CPU / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD - yuan 3.999 (~ 511 €)
• The version with AMD Ryzen 7 4700U CPU / 16GB RAM / 1TB SSD - 4.999 yuan (~ 639 €)

The RedmiBook 13 is available in silver.

The RedmiBook 14 and RedmiBook 16 are available in the same three variants in terms of CPU and RAM, with the only difference being that there is no option for a 1 TB SSD drive, and all are only available with 512 GB of storage.

As you can see in the tables above, the prices remain the same regardless of the screen size, and if this is not a typographical error, it is a bit strange.

The RedmiBook 14 will be available in silver, while the RedmiBook 16 is available in gray.

All three RedMi laptops will be available from June 1, but will also be available for pre-order until May 31. There is currently no information on the availability of these laptops in the international market.

RedmiBook 13, RedmiBook 14, RedmiBook 16 - Specifications

The RedmiBook 13, RedmiBook 14 and RedmiBook 16 share the same design aesthetic and are powered by new 7nm processors AMD Ryzen 4000. Specifically we have two processor options, the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U with Vega 6 GPU in graphics or him AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Vega 7 GPU in graphics.

AMD's new processors are built with 7nm technology and architecture Zen2 which brings 15% efficiency improvement to IPC, 23% efficiency improvement to single core, 60% efficiency improvement to multiple cores and doubles energy efficiency. The performance of the integrated Vega GPU for graphics increases by 59%, while the overall performance of the new AMD CPUs increases by about 25% compared to the previous generation.

The new RedMi Notebooks are equipped with up to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 512 GB of SATA SSD storage. Specifically, the RedmiBook 13 has a variant with Ryzen 7 CPU, 16GB RAM and 1TB PCle SSD.

All three RedMi slim and lightweight laptops feature FULL HD displays (1920 × 1080 pixels) with a refresh rate of 60Hz, and while the RedmiBook 13 and RedmiBook 14 have a brightness of 250nits, the RedmiBook 16 reaches 300nits.

The 13-inch and 14-inch models are supported by 40Wh batteries, while the 16-inch model is supported by a slightly larger 46Wh battery. In terms of connectivity, all three laptops have two USB Type-C ports, a standard USB Type-A port, an HDMI port and a 3,5 mm headphone jack. They also have dual band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v5.0.

For audio, the new RedMiBook has two 2W speakers, supports DTS audio processing and comes pre-installed with Windows 10 Home Chinese Edition. The RemdiBook 13 measures 307,3x195x17,8 mm in dimensions and weighs 1,23 kg. The RedmiBook 14 measures 320x203x16.85mm in dimensions and weighs 1,2 kg. Finally, the RemdiBook 16 measures 367.20 × 232.85 × 17.55mm and weighs 1,8kg.
