Xiaomi today announced the ultra-affordable Smartphone in India Redmi A3 which comes with interesting specifications and Premium design
The device has leather finish on the back, large screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and it runs Android 14.
The Redmi A3 is equipped with Helio G36 Soc by Mediatek, which is the same as its predecessor the Redmi A2, however RAM is available either 3 GB, 4 GB or 6 GB, as opposed to options 2 / 3 / 4 GB which his predecessor had. The extra memory was clearly deemed enough by Xiaomi to transition the A3 to its regular version Android 14 instead of the lightweight version of it Android 13 Go which his predecessors ran.
The Redmi A3 is built around a 6.71″ LCD screen with HD + resolution, which has refresh rate 90 Hz and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Since the device cannot have the fingerprint scanner below the LCD screen, the sensor is placed on the side of the device just above the power key.
The display also features a waterdrop notch below which houses the Selfie camera with sensor in 5 MP.
On the huge round island similar to the one on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, there are two camera sensors – a main camera with an 8 MP sensor and a kind of secondary camera that is not even mentioned in the spec sheet, but also an LED flash.
The battery has a capacity of 5.000 mAh and supports charging at 10w via the USB-C port, and there's also a 3,5 mm audio jack on the phone for headphones.

The Redmi A3 is available in three color options: Olive Green, Midnight Black and Lake Blue, and in terms of pricing, the base version with 3 / 64 GB it costs INR 7,299 (~ $ 87 / € 82), the version with 4 / 128 GB priced at INR 8,299 (~ $ 100 / € 93) and finally the version with 6 / 128 GB is priced at INR 9,299 (~ $ 111 / € 104).
