Xiaomi released a series of posters today, officially confirming it MIX Fold 3 launch in China on August 14th – of the company's next foldable Smartphone
The posters that we will see below reveal the beautiful design that the device will have, but also some of the specifications that the cameras it will be equipped with will have.
As stated by the CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, new Xiaomi MIX Fold 3" it will be light, and many changes have been made to the structure and hinge technology of the device, compared to last year's MIX Fold 2.
Last year MIX Fold 2 used an innovative hinge type micro-water droplet hinge and a pioneering stacking technology, making it very thin since it has thickness of only 11,2 mm when the screen is folded.
Ο Lei Jun stated that Xiaomi started the development of the MIX Fold 3 from scratch and the hinge of the device was rebuilt from the ground up. After continuous efforts and tests, Xiaomi engineers have come up with the best solution of the current technology regarding the new hinge that the device has.
The upcoming Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 completely overturns the existing technological course of the industry by using a “technology for space”, with a breakthrough innovation in the hinge, and therefore the device is thin and light, creating a new standard in devices with foldable screens.
The posters published by Xiaomi confirm that the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3" It will be done available in two versions : a version with black leather back and second edition with glass back in gold color.
As seen in the posters the MIX Fold 3 will feature LEICA VARIO-SUMMICRON lenses with diaphragm from f/1.8 to f/2.9 for the main camera and telephoto periscope camera.
Based on previous rumors, the MIX Fold 3 it is expected to feature a portrait camera with 3.2X optical zoom and a periscope telephoto camera with 5X optical zoom. Except for wired fast charging at 67W, the device is also said to support the wireless charging at 50W. Xiaomi's new foldable Smartphone is expected to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
We'll get all the details on the rest of the device's specs when it's officially unveiled in China next week. We certainly hope that this time the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will become available in other markets and in Europe at some point, and not remain exclusively available in China.
