Η Xiaomi prepares for the classic MIUI One new Launcher which will support it drawer of applications and many other functions.
Όas you know, the Poco F1 has a launcher with special drawer for applications, while in the traditional MIUI there is no such thing.
However, this is about to change soon, as Xiaomi is said to be testing a built-in application drawer option in MIUI, along with application shortcuts.
The last ALPHA version (4.10.6.1025-06141703) of Launcher for MIUI, finally brings the long-awaited drawer for applications. Based on the screenshots, users will need to tap the Home button on the home screen to open the app drawer, as do other manufacturers' launchers.
There is currently no such option in the Miui versions on the market, or if there is, this switch does not work. It is certain that Xiaomi will include these options in some of the next operating system upgrades.
By opening the application drawer, all recently used applications will be placed at the top, while all other existing applications will be listed below in alphabetical order as usual.
In addition, Xiaomi's new launcher will include application shortcuts, a feature introduced with Android 7.0 Nougat. It will also support Quick Actions, ie when an application icon is pressed for a long time, it will allow users to perform specific tasks of the application directly without having to open other menus.
Download the new MIUI Launcher (Attention: it is BETA) from HERE.As the new Launcher is still in testing condition, it may not be ideal for everyday use, but it will certainly fix all its problems soon, and it will be ready for release in the coming weeks, although no timeline has been revealed yet.
