MIUI 10: The new Global Beta V9.2.14 ROM brings Dark Mode to some system applications

The colors that appear on the screen affect the power consumption of the screen and the Dark Mode, helps the devices with AMOLED screen, to have better autonomy.

ΤIn recent months, Google has gradually introduced Dark Mode for some system applications, including calls, contacts, messages, and according to some reports, Google has decided to introduce Dark Mode across the system with Android Q.

This saves a lot of battery on devices with AMOLED screens, and does not affect the autonomy of devices without AMOLED, but some users prefer it.

Xiaomi MIUI is best known for the large number of customizations it offers, but it also does not offer Dark Mode throughout the system. Of course MIUI offers countless dark themes that can be downloaded from its special theme application, but many times these themes also have a lot of bugs that make them difficult to use.

But now that will soon change, as the latest Global Beta ROM update for MIUI 10 brings Dark Mode to many system applications, such as Calls, Contacts, Messages, Gallery, Computer, Notes, Screen, and Updater.

The new update will also add Dark Mode to the notification bar, volume settings and bookmarks.

In addition to the above, Dark Mode will be added to some sections in Settings such as Mi Account, Application Manager, Duplicate Applications, Second Space, Application Lock, Permissions, Data Usage, Sim Card Settings, and more.

From now on, Dark Mode will only be available in the aforementioned applications and we do not know if Xiaomi plans to deploy it throughout the system. So Dark Mode is expected to be released on MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM starting from V9.2.14 from tomorrow, February 15th.

Unfortunately, Dark Mode will not be available on some older devices such as the Mi 4, Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3 Pro (called Redmi Note 3 in India) as Xiaomi has stopped developing some devices.

Xiaomi has already started testing in MIUI 11, and we can hope to see Dark Mode throughout the system with MIUI 11.
