Xiaomi Mi TV 5 and Mi TV 5 Pro: Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi TV 5 comes in three screen sizes - 55 inches, 65 inches and 75 inches.
- The 55-inch version costs CNY 2,999 ($ 430 / € 385).
- The 65-inch version is priced at CNY3,999 ($ 570 / € 515).
- And the 75-inch version costs CNY7,999 ($ 1,145 / € 1,030).
The Xiaomi Mi TV 5 Pro is also available in three screen sizes - 55 inches, 65 inches and 75 inches.
- The 55-inch model is priced at CNY3,699 ($ 530 / € 475).
- The 65-inch model is priced at CNY4,999 ($ 715 / € 640).

The 55-inch versions of the Mi TV 5 and Mi TV 5 Pro are ready for pre-order from today and will be released from November 11. Xiaomi has not yet revealed the availability details for the 65-inch and 75-inch variants of the Mi TV 5 and Mi TV 5 Pro, nor has it announced the availability details for any of these TVs for markets outside China such as India. and Europe for example.
Xiaomi Mi TV 5: Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi TV 5 uses a 4K resolution screen (possibly a VA panel with LED backlit) for all the screen size variations available. According to Xiaomi, the panels in all variants of the Mi TV 5 cover up to 85% of the NTSC color range. The TV supports HDR10 playback and is capable of playing 8K videos at 24 frames per second, thus reducing the videos to 4K resolution.
The TV supports Dolby Audio and DTS-HD. However, the details of the configuration of the speakers that the Mi TV 5 has are currently unknown. Xiaomi has not disclosed the information about the connectivity features of the devices either.
Xiaomi used an Amlogic T972 chipset in all Mi TV 5s, and all we know is that the chipset uses the 12nm manufacturing process and has four CPU cores. Details about their CPU and GPU model are still unknown. Finally, the chipset is combined with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. In China, the Mi TV 5 comes with the PatchWall UI. However, in countries outside China, Xiaomi may replace the PatchWall UI with Android TV.
Xiaomi Mi TV 5 Pro: Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi TV 5 Pro, unlike its brother, uses 4K QLED (Quantum Dot LED) panels for all its size variations. QLED technology, in theory, should offer better color reproduction and dynamic range, though not to a significant degree. According to Xiaomi, the Mi TV 5 Pro covers 108% of the NTSC color gamut. It can also play HDR10 + videos that the Mi TV 5 series cannot.
The Mi TV 5 Pro can play 8K video at 24 frames per second and has support for Dolby Audio and DTS-HD. Xiaomi has not revealed details about the configuration of the Mi TV 5 Pro speakers. It also did not disclose information about the connectivity features of the devices.
The Mi TV 5 Pro uses the same Amlogic T972 chipset found on the Mi TV 5. However, this TV has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This is the highest amount of RAM and storage we have ever seen on a TV. Hopefully the higher amount of RAM will help smooth the performance of 4 and 8K content. The Mi TV 5 Pro also comes with the PatchWall UI and can be replaced with Android TV in markets outside of China.
