The line Xiaomi Mi MIX pushes the boundaries in mobile design. We were waiting for a cell phone with a waterfall screen and us was presented a cell phone only screen.

The Mi MIX Alpha uses Samsung's new 108 megapixel photo sensor, which was developed jointly with Xiaomi. As with Samsung's other high-resolution sensors, the pixels are combined in 2 × 2 squares for better light sensitivity in low light. The generated images have a resolution of 27 megapixels.
We need to see how this works in practice. The 1 / 1,33-inch sensor is unusually large for a phone and will logically give the Mix Alpha tremendous light collection capabilities. There's also no need for a selfie camera - just turn the phone upside down and use the back of the screen as a mirror for the 108-megapixel camera.
As for the "traditional" specifications of the phone, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, 5G connectivity, 12GB RAM, 512GB storage, 40 W fast charge and 4.050 mAh battery. The battery does not seem to come out day with such a screen.
Concept Phone…
Like you we mentioned in a previous article, Xiaomi describes the Mi MIX Alpha as a "smartphone concept" and is not going to mass produce it. The phone will go into small-scale production this year and will be released in December for 19,999 yuan, about 2560 euros. The first Mi Mix also got the title of "concept" and was released in small quantities. The next model, the Mi Mix 2, announced a year later was a more mainstream device in the premium category. Can we wait for MIX Alpha 2?
We do not know what issues the phone has in terms of durability, battery life, random contact recognition, privacy and so on. The cost is simply outrageous.
On the other hand we see the mobile phone of the future. Xiaomi after the double presentation last year of Oppo Find X and Vivo NEX S, decided to take the reins of the pioneer mobile designer again, a first started by the first Mi MIX. We expect more from this innovative mobile and hope for a budget model soon.
