You can now install Android 11 on Mi 5 (Gemini) & Mi 5 Plus (Natrium) from a custom ROM of LineageOS 18.0 released at XDA Developers.
ΈIt's been almost four years since Xiaomi first launched the Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus, and Xiaomi in the following years released four more flagships, the Mi 6, Mi 8, Mi 9 and Mi 10.
However, even today there are several people who still use it My 5, but as you know Xiaomi has stopped upgrades to the MIUI operating system for a year now.
That's it My 5 was originally released wearing a version of MIUI that was based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and the last upgrade the device received was a fixed version MIUI 10 based on Android 8.0 Oreo.
However, if you own it Mi 5 or Mi 5 Plus and you want to upgrade your device to the latest version Android 11, the Lineage OS is the only way to achieve this, as in the new version LineageOS 18.0 has become Port a ROM for My 5 which is based on Android 11.

Installation instructions :
- Restart recovery (if you have not downloaded it here - direct link)
- Make them from Recovery Format / system, / data and / cache
- Install the Zip of the ROM you downloaded above

Caution
You must have it installed on your device MIUI V10.2.2.0.OAAMIXM global stable ROM before proceeding with its installation lineage-18.0-20201004 ROM for the Mi 5, otherwise it will not be able to be installed properly Android 11.
